In 1997, Jim and Pat Kean launched Mister Fish, a takeout spot celebrated for its fresh seafood. After a successful year, Jim chose to return to the fishing industry, stepping away from the restaurant.
The story took a new turn in 2019 when Jim, now joined by Sandra, a native Newfoundlander, saw potential in revitalizing Mr. Fish. Together, they acquired the takeout and embarked on a major transformation. They expanded the business into a modern family restaurant, featuring a state-of-the-art kitchen designed to deliver exceptional quality along with a seafood market offering an array of premium, hand-selected seafood for those wishing to enjoy quality seafood from the comfort of their own home.
